In this article, we bring you the trip to Kidepo valley national park and Sipi Falls. Kidepo national park is located in North eastern corner of Uganda, and then Sipi Falls is located in Eastern Uganda, on the lower slopes of Mount Elgon.

FOUR DAYS WILDLIFE AND CULTURAL ENCOUNTER IN EASTERN UGANDA

Sipi falls is a series of 3 waterfalls in the eastern Uganda located in the district of kapchorwa, northeast of Sironko and Mbale. The waterfalls lie on the edge of mount Elgon national park near the Kenyan border. It is the starting point of many hikes up Mt. Elgon.

Kidepo valley is one of Uganda’s spectacular parks located inkaabong district inthe north east,1442 square kilometers from Kampala. It consists of a semi-arid climate with one rainy season per year, thatisApril – September. It receives 890mm of rainfall of the southern part while 635 is received in the north, tucked into the corner of Uganda’s border with Sudan and Kenya.

Therefore, this four days’ tour will enable you to discover one of Africa’s most scenic national parks containing one of the most exciting faunas like the cheetahs, striped hyenas, lions, elephants,warthogs among others, over 465 bird species with cultural encounters/tribal visit in karamoja region.

Day 1: TRANSFER TO SIPI FALLS(5-7HRS

You will be picked from Entebbe airport or Kampala and transfer to Sipi falls in eastern Uganda at the edge of Mt. Elgon in kapchorwadistrict, drivethrough Mabira forest,lugazi sugar plantation and the new Jinja bridge highway as you enjoy the most stunning and scenic view of the beautiful landscapes. Upon reaching sipi falls,we shall have a lunch break and relaxation as we wait for the great sipi falls exploration. At least three waterfalls can be visited, where you will take photos and visit the caves, later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at sipi river lodge.

DAY 2: EXPLORE SIPI FALLS REGION

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and check out of the lodge to start off our journey to the north east side of Uganda to Moroto.We shall continue through the tribes hoping for a market day to visit and interact with the locals. It is a very remote area with scenic reserves,local people, markets in most untouched area and remote village setup. Check in the lodge for relaxation and in the evening, visit the great museum of karamoja where you will be able to, and know a lot of history about karamoja and the people living there.

Dinner and overnight at kara-tunga safari camp.

Day 3: GAME DRIVE IN KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK.

Have morning breakfast and transfer to Kidepo valley national park.

You will be driving early in the morning and reach in the park in the morning, have a relaxation from the hotel, lunch and afternoon game drive.  During the game drive, you will be able to see and encounter a number of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Lions, antelopes, and many others as nature will favour us on that day.

You will also have a chance to enjoy the great view of the most stunning, fascinating and beautiful landscapes, Enjoy the Innovative treatment in the rewarding, engaging and scenic Kidepo national park.

Dinner and overnight at savannah lodge Kidepo, as you prepare for the last day for the transfer back to Kampala.

Day 4: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

Wake up and have breakfast, enter the park with another game drive and later drive back to Kampala to the hotel.
