Kibabel national park is Uganda’s primate capital of the world’s as it harbors a big number of primates like ultimate chimpanzee (Human closest cousins), the park is found in the west nile in north western part of uganda, just 4 hours drive from kampala.
Generally, this safari gives you an opportunity to encounter the real african safari as it combines your senses with ultimate primate and wildlife safari while tracking the wild residents, we mean chimpanzee.
DAY ONE: TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Pick up from Kampala by our driver guide and drive to kibale national park with stop over en-route for lunch at selected restaurant in after lunch drive to the lodge for overnight.
Drive through this beautiful part of Uganda in Toro Kingdom via the northern route which is shorter and quicker with 290km tarmac road running from kampala to fort portal through the fantastic view of Tea plantations.
DAY 2ULTIMATE CHIMPANZEE TRACKING
After early morning Breakfast drive to Kibale national park on Tarmac road to kanyanchu Tourism center for chimpanzee tracking btiefing, the tracking starts from here where you will meet your ranger guides to take you through this ultimate experience, meet your closest relatives to human, there are also varieties of tropical tree species in the park and other primates such as L’Hoest monkey, Black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey etc with varieties of forest endemic Birds such as Green-breasted pitta, collared apalis, African pitta etc.
After chimpanzee tracking drive to Rwetera safari park for for the hike to the top of the world or canoeing on lake Nyabikere.
DAY 3TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
You will be welcomed to a new day with a morning breakfast at your hotel, thereafter start your journey to queen elizabeth national park at around 10am in the morning.
You will drive to queen Elizabeth which is located in Kasese district, you will drive through fort portal town, and proceed via Mpondwe-Kasese road which is around 2-3 hours drive on the tarmac.
You will reach in queen Elizabeth national park , check in from the hotel, have your lunch, and then have a relaxation.
We shall drive you to the park for an evening game drive, that is if you are not really tired. In our evening game drive, you will be able to encounter a number of wildlife by chance and the include, Elephants, Leopards, Warthogs, Beautiful antelopes, Bufalloes and many others including beautiful singing birds.
You will then drive to the hotel, have a dinner and overnight.
DAY 4MORNING GAME DRIVE & AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE
After an early breakfast, we will head for an early game drive in search of animals like lions, leopards, buffalo, elephants and birds.
We will try out to drive along Queen’s mile and Kasenyi trial in order to see different animals and birds like laughing dove, long- crested Eagle, White- tailed, Lark, Grey Kestrel, Martial Eagle, Hooded vulture, sitting cisticola, Rufous- raped Lark, Grey-headed Kingfisher, pin-tailed Whydah, African mourning Dove, Red-chested sunbird, Black-winged kite,
Along Kasenyi trial we will have a chance of viewing climbing lions then later we head for lunch at the Lodge.
Later in the afternoon, we will have about cruise along Kazinga channel which offers variety of birds with huge elephants, buffalo and hippopotamus in water and in the banks of the lake.
This will take us 3 hours while viewing some water birds like Grey-crowned crane, Field Kingfisher, African Fish Eagle, Egyptian Goose, Swamp Fly catcher, African Skimmer, African Spoonbill and many others.
DAY 5TRANSFER TO KAMPALA OR ENTEBBE AS YOU EMBARK ON THE SAFARI,
After breakfast, we will drive to Kampala then stop at Igongo cultural for lunch and visit the Igongo Museum which can take us an hour of visit then the cultural village that will show us the traditional living of people in Western Uganda. Then proceed to Kampala later.
